Medicare
and Medicaid
Elmhurst Extended Care Center is Medicare and Medicaid
certified. The Medicare Program has very strict criteria
that the resident's condition must meet in order to
qualify for Medicare. In order for a resident to receive
Medicare benefits they must have a skilled need and
the stay at Elmhurst Extended Care Center should be
preceded by at least a 3 day stay in a hospital. The
professional staff at Elmhurst Extended Care Center
is qualified to make the determination that the resident
meets Medicare criteria. The Medicare and Medicaid
programs are very complex, and you can contact our admissions staff
directly with specific questions.
Self
Pay
Our current private pay rates are available by emailing
us at eecc@ameritech.net.
Private pay is a daily rate that is charged monthly.
The daily room rates include licensed and certified
staff to provide 24 hour nursing care, social services,
seven day a week extensive activity program, televisions
in common areas as well as a library with a sizable
collection of movie videos, dining services including
three meals per day, snacks and specialty diets if needed,
housekeeping and linen service.

Elmhurst
Extended Care Center holds contracts with Blue Cross
and Blue Shield of Illinois, Cigna, Humana and Unicare
and will accept most any other private insurance or
managed care.
