Our story main picture

Last year my mom Lillian, fell and ended up in the hospital with some compression fractures. She was in pain and needed physical therapy.

Our doctor recommended we go to Elmhurst Extended Care Center where an excellent staff of therapists helped mom get stronger. Angie helps mom on the therapy bike (right)

We decided that mom really was not safe or happy living alone, and since mom liked her new friends and the food, she decided to stay. Mom has macular degeneration and can't see very well, so the exceptional, caring staff at EECC help her day and night. Jessie helps mom with dressing, and nurse Amie, gives meds, watching over mom's health under the care of her doctor (below).

And, there is so much for mom to enjoy, with 7 days of activities: bingo, entertainment, parties and religious services. Best of all, I am at peace knowing mom is so well cared for.
