Elmhurst Extended Care Center provides comprehensive memory care services designed to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our goal is to ensure residents receive the specialized attention they need while maintaining a sense of independence.
With a secure wander management system, residents can move freely within a protected area, promoting both safety and mobility. The floor features two multipurpose spaces at opposite ends, creating an environment that encourages continuous engagement through dining, socializing, and activities.
Our compassionate team undergoes regular training in behavior management, equipping them to provide personalized care that enhances each resident’s well-being. We focus on:
- Developing individualized, person-centered care plans
- Offering adaptive activities tailored to residents’ abilities
- Encouraging participation in familiar tasks and favorite pastimes
- Maximizing each resident’s potential in a supportive setting
- Assisting families in understanding and navigating dementia care
We recognize the emotional and practical challenges families face and are here to help. Our interdisciplinary team is available to address any questions or concerns, and we offer a monthly Alzheimer’s/Dementia support group along with valuable resources.
